We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Assistant Director to support the Directors and staff in various administrative and strategic tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and contributing to the overall success of our program and facility. The ideal candidate needs to be dependable, possess strong leadership qualities, experience in education, and a background in strategic planning and communication skills.

*Duties*

* Oversee daily operations to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children.
* Hire and train, and supervise staff to maintain high-quality care and education.
* Help implement age-appropriate curricula that promotes learning and development.
* Ensure the cleanliness and general maintenance of the organization.
* Communicates regularly with parents about their child's progress and daycare policies.
* Manage budgets to ensure the daycare's sustainability and growth.
* Ensure compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements for childcare facilities.
* Foster a positive work environment by demonstrating strong leadership skills and mentoring team members as needed.
* Maintain safe, friendly, and stimulating environments for children.
* Be able to work in a classroom if coverage is needed.
* Help staff accordingly to our licensed ratios.

*Qualifications*

* Bachelor's degree or Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human service field and 1-3 years of experience with children
* Proven experience in management or leadership roles within an educational setting is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of staffing and managing staff.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse staff and families.
* Familiarity with computers and input is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
